The central locking in my MK3 Mondeo has been playing up for years. The other day I came across a great video that described how to change the door controller. The same video also recommended to try a reset routine first involving turning the ignition On/off 4 times In quick succession. I did that but it did not solve the locking problem.

My much missed E60 BMW 525D had the option to configure auto lock on/off within the iDrive System (which despite Clarkson's complaints) was not complicated to use. Shame my Mondeo does not have the same as I end up having to manually lock the doors each time I set off.
Auto folding door mirrors Mk4 titanium X. Since last year i have a problem related to central locking sistem that is causing a battery surge. - when double lock is activated (by key or remote) if i rotate the key to unlocking position about 80 degrees then only the passenger side doors will unlock. If i rotate 90 degrees (until the end) then all the doors will be unlocked.
