The2.5L can get off the line really well. They built torque low in the rev range which helps them get off pretty quickly. My cousin raced his Mazda6 (2.5L Non-Turbo) against an AWD V6 Acura TL and actually beat it off the line (the 100 more horsepower from the TL eventually caught up to it). So yeah, 7 seconds to 60 is about right.
